Episode 04: Naked, Famous and Moderately Attractive

In this age of nobody knowing what to do about advertising, we put our shoulders to the wheel. Advertising: Solved! Some freaky-ass Derren Brown type shit makes Danny (and you??!!) perform a Google UnSafeSearch. Facial-hair compliments from strangers: the milk of human kindness, or sad? You will learn how clever Danny is with words in this episode.

  1. Funny as always.
How much of your life is bluffing?
    Quite a bit.
Makes me want to play poker against Danny.

I disagree with your view on Battlestar Galactica. I guess you would find lots of people to join a public spectacle to watch the series. For the easily affected you could sell anti-depressant drugs, the mentioned tissues and lots of alcoholic drinks. Sounds perfect for emos and goths especially.

  2. Hey guys,
always a pleasant experience see a new post up!
    Comments as i listen:

An awesome movie with a lot of goodguy/badguy cell phone conversations is "How to Rob a Bank" its not like a great movie in the general but I highly recommend it for some reason unbeknownst to me.

cops are stupid and useless for the most part (in the sense that without them there would be complete anarchy but with them there's not exactly justice. "is it the cop or am I the one that's really in danger here"

You mean you dont make this shit up as you go along...(is it sarcasm i read in my words)

    Damn you guys!!!!
    I quite like jericho
    Damn you!!
I download all tv show instead of watching them, but i dont make marathons and i don't have geeky friends.

strike three i also like Galactica, like a lot, its like the best thing after MTB, drugs, sex, rocknroll, both stargates and butterfingers!!

I sound so not-cool right now.

Tom, that part about harmful suggestion sorta reminded me of "hey Joe wada ya know" from LFJ. you are right, it would have been funny if Danny would've given it a go.(with the definition)

    Fabulously called bluff!!!! ROFL

Ben Kingsley . . . what????? definite NO.
btw did Danny just say he would like to see nude stately fellow???

    LMAO at Racist Betty

Since you haven't made a new video Tom, i cant comment on the awesomeness or lack thereof - of your facial hair. :(

    Anyway,
Excellent episode! Probably the better of the 4 though there was no surprise guest. i look forward as always to the next one which i hope to be listening to in Cancun(spring break baby!)
    See you guys around
    take care,

  4. Doc Ontic, do you disagree about the watchability or melancholicity of BSGs?

  5. Wow, I was appointed Doc.
    Nice.

I think BSG was quite melancholic, but that doesn´t infringe on the watchability of the series. And even if you find it too melancholic for the mainstream viewers, you can always make it an event for special groups who like exactly that kind of stuff.

Apart from this special series I would like to have some public place where tv-series or such are shown. It always interests me how other people react to things I like.

  6. ontic:

    congrats on the degree :)

public showings in controlled environments sounds like a good idea>

BSG is a dark series, that's kinda the point. The character aren't gonna be happy go lucky after after the destruction of their 12 planets. Also its based on "naturalistic science fiction" so its not a bright and colorful as say, stargate or startrek.

    PS TOM:

what do you mean "You know why there was no surprise guest?? Because we didn't get our quiz!" did i miss something or why dont i understand :) ???

  7. I loves me some Battlestars. I don't say "melancholic" like it's a bad thing. Abraham Lincoln was melancholic as all get out and that worked okay for him. Apart from the beard.

We'd have forced Joe to do an episode if anyone had done us a "Bain Or Cosby?" quiz!

  8. I actually prefer the darker and more balanced SF like BSG or Babylon 5. It´s much more interesting than Stargate or Startrek where you know that "we" are the good guys and generally won´t do anything wrong.

As you will have heard, there even was a panel discussion with some of the BSG actors at the U.N. Which series can achieve something like that?

Please try not to say anything like "owned" or "epic fail" or suchlike.
